What?!? I have time away from Euro?!? *Gasp!*

Phew!
That was quite a week. Or well, the period of the last 10 days or so. There was that time when finals finally seemed to be approaching. And now they're behind us. It seems like there was never a time when they were just coming soon. Or maybe that's just me. I'm probably going crazy. More so than usual, that is...
Anyways, glad to put that period behind me. Not exactly my favorite time of the year. Much of it was spent on studying for, eating, living, and breathing Euro. Mostly spent with Paul, and Aaron. Nicole was there for half of it, and Ashley was there for the other half. I think it paid off though. I say think, because, unlike EVERY OTHER PERIOD OF EURO, our period did not get our final scores yet because we "didn't follow instructions." He said to talk quietly and remain seated while he graded finals, but some of us moved around a little bit to talk to other people about it. I don't think we were really that bad, but o well. I guess I'll just have to wait till he updates grades online, which could be as early as tomorrow.
In general, my finals went well and most of the "studying" was worth it. The big exception was math. Sadly, that translates into my first B in high school (or actually first B in any academic course EVER). *tear tear* I'm determined to work harder, and get an A next semester though. I have let myself down enough. Just so I feel better about myself, I will blame Mr. Powers and his poor teaching skills (I have to add, though, that quite a few other individuals would tend to agree with me). It's really no excuse for the B I got, but I guess I just have to put that behind me and look ahead to do better, hopefully.
After getting Euro and Math out of the way on the first day of finals (ONE HELL OF A DAY), it was a smooth ride downhill. The Spanish final was a piece of cake...I took my time on it, taking plenty of naps in between (not even kidding about that). The tennis final went well, although I coulda done better on the backhand test. Meh. Atleast non-academic classes don't affect college GPA. No mid-term in AP Physics, because we already took it before Winter Break (THANK YOU Mr. Jansen !!!). My last "final," English, consisted of acting out a part from Hamlet. Me and my partner were fairly well prepared, so we did really well on it. Contrary to earlier thoughts, I actually enjoyed watching the other people act their parts. Especially the last one, where someone played their character drunk, and played it extremely well.
To dampen my good spirits for the last two days of finals, I got sick. Sucks. Hate nasal congestion more than Mr. Butler sometimes. Big pain in the...nose?
As for my love for music, it only grows more hungry by the day. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU _poweroutage (which is a LiveJournal community for sharing music...access it through my user info) for introducing me to the soundtrack of Memoirs of a Geisha. I downloaded it on a whim, and absolutely loved it! If you don't have it yet, go get it. Also, Vienna Teng (downloaded from same source) is quite pleasant, as well. Her music, that is. And I am sure she is as a person, as well.
I need to go soon and get my Driving Permit. I have been putting it off forever. I even had a perfect opportunity today, but completely forgot about it. *scolds himself*
On other notable events, noticed Maaike's new hairstyle/haircut/hairdo (which phrase works best?). Quite shocking to the eyes at first, but quite a welcome change in general. Especially cuz it was done on instinct. It's quite interesting to note how often our instinct guides us to the right way. Quite startling, actually.
I have decided, primarily due to persuasion by Jabbari, to read The Prince by Machiavelli, who has always fascinated me as a person. Hopefully, it's worth the read. I might also read Don Quixote, although I'm put off by its size (which is surprising, as thick books usually tend to attract my attention...I'm such a nerd).
Okay, I think this post is long enough as it is. Excuse me for boring the hell out of you, but this had to make up for a whole missing week of babbles. I know I write boring posts, but I love this LJ to just put stuff out there. It helps me clear my own mind, I guess. Or something like that. Just works.
There's just one more thing that's brooding on my mind, but I think it's worth its own post. So it'll come at a later time.
For now, its bye bye from me. Later.
