Prompt Fills

An Attribute of the Strong:     Part I        Part II        Part III
Whatever Dean was eating in Purgatory, it wasn't what you'd call well-balanced meals. And adjusting back to 'real' food is harder than he expected. Dean's thin, borderline underweight (despite Sam's bitching at him to eat something), and his immune system really isn't up to dealing with flu season...
Gen. PG13. 13681 words.

The Beginning of Wisdom:
Tricked + lied to + dead friend + catastrophically bad idea +  sick of Metallica’s Black  ≠ Sam forgives Dean. Sam loves logic and Dean hates migraines.
Gen. PG-13 for language. 4994 words.

Blood Turns Black:
Blood turns black, the iron oxidized to rust, darkly metallic like machinated dust. Dean's blood was congealed opaque against his skin, frozen the black of a demon's eye. But it wasn't a demon that bled him almost dry.
Gen but some Dean/OMC. R for non-con, kidnapping, blood, language, general dark themes. 2561 words.

Choices:
After Purgatory he has trouble making choices about the simplest things -- choosing what to wear, what to eat, what to drink... on hunts he's fine, lightning-fast and decisive, but when they're in a gas station staring at rows upon rows of candy or whatnot, he freezes, loses all ability to choose. At first Sam is annoyed but then he figures out what's going on and helps.
Gen. PG. 1716 words.

Collecting Days:
For whatever reason, Dean snaps. It could be because of Hell, because of stress, because of the apocalypse, because he said yes to Michael, because of Sam's trials, because of all of the above. Whatever. In any case, his mind breaks and he goes utterly feral. Think pure instinct, shoot-before-asking, totally nonverbal, curled up, whatever. Sam takes care of his brother, occasionally sustaining bites and scratches, even though there is no hope for Dean. Bonus points if Sam gets Dean to a point where he trusts SAM (even though he has no higher functioning, really) and likes Sam's hoodies and curling up next to Sam to watch TV or be read to
Gen. PG13. Season 4. 4225 words.

For Every Sacrifice:
Dean's first time on the job as torturer, if you please. I think maybe just as he's about ready to get to work he realizes that he's still being tortured himself - just his heart, soul, and everything that makes him Dean instead of his hell worn flesh. Obviously, he cuts anyway.
Gen. PG. 575 words.

Hell Hath No Fury:
Dean is grabbed by one of the cults who got orders from Zachariah back in s5. They try and make him say yes to Micheal by a combination of starvation, abuse and sleep deprivation. By the time Cas and Sam find Dean, he's almost broke, and part of him seems to think he's back in hell, still refusing to say yes to Alistair.
Gen. PG13. 2277 words.

Rules for Hunting 'verse:
Rules for Hunting:
Dean had bulimia. "Had" being rather loosely defined- the main thing is that Dean's not binge eating or throwing up anymore and in traditional Winchester fashion the issue's been swept under the carpet. Except that John's been gone on a hunt longer than expected and the food supply is running low. Dean's been sneakily giving most of it to Sam and is starving hungry and worried about where John is. Eventually John gets back on halloween, with food, and Dean manages to choke down some dinner like a normal person. But John's also brought back some candy for trick or treaters- exactly the sort of thing Dean used as binge food. John can't work out why Dean's so jittery, until he realises that with his blood sugar all messed up and the worry Dean's worried about relapsing.
Gen. PG. 2600 words.
All the Empty Spaces:
A companion piece to this where the urge comes back but this time Sam is the one that's there, and he doesn't remember Dean ever having this problem before.
Gen. PG. 2500 words.
Proof of Existence:
It's so human, so pathetically human that he can't stop himself from doing it. Post-Hell Dean has all the same issues and more.
Gen. PG13. S4. 2882 words.
The Other Half of the Equation: It's everything he ever thought he wanted. But it hurts, more than he can stand, in this soft, comfortable, padded life when he’s all broken, jagged edges.
Dean/Lisa. PG13. S5-6. 2579 words.

Thanksgiving:They're having a little downtime at Thanksgiving due Dean being hurt. Dean, even though he's hurt, is still trying to make them Thanksgiving dinner, but he's obviously in a lot of pain even though he's trying to hide it - and struggling to get the dinner finished. Sam steps in to help.
Gen. PG. 1941 words.

The Darkness Followed:
"Hell is forgetting yourself and Heaven is only remembering, but all Dean needs is to stop. Never to be what he isn’t, but not to be what he is. He just needs to stop."
Gen. PG13. 3493 words

The World is a Thing of Shreds:
Newly human Cas is learning first aid. Dean is the guinea pig who needs a billion stitches.
Gen. PG. 1604 words.

To Repair Broken Men:
Pre-series: Dad and Sam keep fighting. Dean can't fix his family, so he fixes things around the crappy apartment they are staying in eg. shelves, washing machine, heater/air conditioner.
Gen. PG13. 3099 words.
