hello post-winter trip world,
i need to return to richmond as fast as possible. i need the city. i've been living in the rocky hills of post-syrian territory and the windy palm-filled deserts and have returned with a conclusion:
old city, jerusalem, israel is the heart of the world and the world to my heart.
israel is amazing and really does feel like home, save the language barrier.
now i must continue the fight against the grain of a secular family and this gentile-ridden land with more fervour, devotion. yet complete devotion is an impossibility. how does one fall complete to a culture where homosexuality is banned and one is segregated from, hidden from, and quieted by the men?
i will never be 100% jewish, but i will be closer.
