I'm glad that the surgery went well, but I can't even imagine what the waiting must have been like for you. I'm always impressed by your humor and strength in your posts about P. I'm happy that you found each other.

Thanks :-) I'm ecstatic that we found each other just about every day. I feel pretty silly when almost all I write these days are medical posts, so hopefully they are at least marginally interesting to people who happen across my journal or even read it regularly.. How are you guys doing?

Don't worry about the medical posts; this is your journal. Of course Bubla and his medical needs are very important to you.

We're fine. The girls had a bout of winter illness but nothing dire. My older girl, who used to get seriously ill just from a cold, her immune system is now like everyone else's so I don't worry like I used to.

Hi, I hope you don't mind that I came to your private journal, but I don't have an account so I cannot comment in that community.

I know there are several good adoption books for children, and searching for "adoption" in children's books on Amazon will bring up a few thousand.

"Over the Moon" and "Rosie's Family" are both quite good. "Borya and the Burps: An Eastern European Adoption" might work for you, but I've never read it.
