after a lot of scheduling problems and altogether laziness, my band has finally begun the recording process for our demo cd. we spent 8 hours sunday night recording and we got two songs done. it was long and tedious and pretty shitty but it's nice to put in all that work and have something to show for it so we're recording again tonight. hopefully as of tomorrow our 4-song demo cd will be done and we can start making copies and selling it to people. the Paper website will be up and running sometime today or tomorrow so hopefully once that's done and our cd's are made we can be a legit band (not that we aren't). all the shows we've played this year have paid off--instead of splitting the money for shows we decided to pool all of it together and now we have almost $1000 collectively. hopefully we'll get paid more for our shows (we usually get $200-250 right now) so we can have enough money to start making t-shirts and stickers. the more merch we have, the more people will know about us.
also, i found an apartment for next year so between the band stuff and my housing, things are starting to fall into place.
