Dance

Today was great. The dance festival we went to was amazing. We had a ballet class, which I severely needed. It was a difficult class. I miss ballet a lot. I didn't do amazingly, but I wasn't nervous at all, and I put myself in front for things. I knew I wasn't going to be an "all state dancer" but that was fine with me. We also had a jazz class with Lester Holmes. I have had a class with him before, and he is a fantastic teacher. I was thinking the jazz would be boring to me, since I am a "lyrical/ contemporary dancer". But actually it was the best part of the day for me. We did a lyrical jazz routine. It was beautiful. I really got into it. And I felt like I looked good doing it. So I was inspired to choreograph more. The faster paced jazz number I enjoyed, but it's not my thing. However, afterwards Kuhl told me how proud she was because of my performance in that class. She told me I shined. And coming from her it means a lot. We performed amazingly aswell. Everything was right on, and I think it was my personal best. I'm pretty proud. We all had fun today. And I didn't have to turn in a history project. :D
