high winds; airshow a no-go

Well, this is why the first day of the Canadian International Air Show was cancelled:




Or rather, the high winds accompanying the dark and grumbly clouds were the cause of the cancellation - they would have made ejection dangerous for the pilots, and rescue from Lake Ontario difficult should there have been an accident. Oh well...I got to talk to a very nice cow in the farm building, and spent the afternoon roaming the food and shopping pavilions with D and L.

The air show weekend also marks the end of my fourth year in Toronto. I feel like I should have some profound insights to share at this point, but no. I like Toronto. Sometimes I miss places in the US. The people I have met and befriended here are lovely, just like my friends back in the States, and that is of course what matters most.
