...ouch. Even seeing it coming (which I kinda did, basically from the moment implanted entered the conversation), that's still... ouch.

One thing surprised me... well, two things. First... Did I read that correctly, that Mana helped his brother fight and kill Noah? A normal human helped? If so, I know a whole lot of Seekers who would love to learn his tricks! And that we're left wondering if he really realized Allen was his lost brother, or if he just cared for Allen as Allen... ouch.
And the last bit surprised me. Not so much that the possibility of Allen killing someone, as the order of events. I guess I would have expected it to be that he'd have to kill in order to become the Fourteenth, but it's the other way around. If he becomes the Fourteenth, he'll have to kill.
And there are so many ways to take that statement. First of all, the grammar of Japanese leaves it rather vague. Is Cross saying, "You will have to kill a precious human," or is he saying, "you will have to kill the humans (in general) that you care about so much." Because Allen likes humans. He wants to protect them. So I can definitely see that statement referring to humanity in general. And then there's the other half of that statement. Does Cross mean that Allen will be compelled to kill humans, as part of being a Noah? Or does he mean that humans will hunt Allen down and he'll have no choice but to kill them to defend himself?
Either way, ouch.
