If I understand this correctly, there's a chance to keep a Raccoon City from succumbing to the T-Virus ( Read more... )

I'm going to be passing out commo gear, body armor, force-field belts, and emergency evacuation devices. Also weaponry to people that want it.

What sort of weaponry?

Just so I have my options open.

Most of them are what you'd think of as science fiction: plasma pistols and rifles, a couple of light railguns, and kinetic-energy-enhancing gloves for hand-to-hand combat. If there's going to be the T-Virus zombies, weaponry that inflicts damage by extreme heat seemed to be a good idea, due to the usefulness of sublimation. Most of them also come equipped with laser sighting systems, allowing you to make sure you're shooting for best effect.

Also, grenades.

Becky already talked me out of having anything of a strategic nature on call.

I was thinking of a few concealed-carry pistols, primarily. I was also thinking it wouldn't hurt to bring the riot gun and a high-powered pistol, just in case.

If you've got something with more firepower and a little less kick, that would be useful. My aim starts to suffer once I've shot the magnum more than a few times.

Plasma pistols are a low-kick weapon, deliberately.

I'm upgrading your PINpoint access now - for some locations, mostly mine, I can do that remotely - and you should find, under my name, a listing for 'Armory'. You can go there when you get a few free moments, grab one, and go through the door marked 'range', and give it some test fires. If you want to grab a rifle for testing, too, go ahead. Avoid the rack marked 'special' - some of that stuff gets a little esoteric, and I just put stuff on there for the purposes of having it somewhere.

Thanks. That should keep things simple.

Is there anywhere I should mark what I've taken? It'll be returned, of course, but I assume you want to track inventory.

I'm not sure how to have things like the shotgun handy without alarming people. Will we have a vehicle there, or would I have to PIN out and return immediately?

It's computerized. When you take something off the rack, the system marks it as out.

I'm not sure on vehicles, though - I'll ask Becky about it.
