Seriously, I think there could be a fair argument that only smokers should get to tell other people how they feel about smoking, because at least they have first hand experience!
But yeah, I totally get that. Like alot of other girls I knew, I started smoking early in middle school, except Im really pretty comfortable with that; and I don't think any anti-smoking indoctrination program in school, whether taught by smokers or non-smokers would have changed my mind. Smoking was cool then, and in its own way, its still cool now. Well, sorta cool =) SO Yeah, I may be hopelessly addicted to cigarettes and yeah, I suppose I still smoke too much according to some people, but whatever.
I think its AWESOME that a two pack a day chain smoker gets to tell kids what she thinks about smoking. I hope she levels with them and is all like: yeah, yeah smoking is bad for you and stuff, but lots of stuff is bad for you, if you supersize everything and live off fast food you can die from that too, but you aren't gonna live forever. Like lots of people who smoke, I smoke because I really enjoy it and have since I was a teenager, even though I know the risks. The decision to take that risk is yours and yours alone.
Great post btw
