Sherlock Holmes/Basil of Baker Street Cross-over, Spin-off Series
Over the Thanksgiving break i wrote a crack, semi-serious crossover about the origins of Basil and Dawson being the furry proteges of Holmes and Watson. It was surprisingly successful and due to popular demand i began drawing up plans for a sequel chapter. In consequence i borrowed the one Eve Titus Basil book in my college library and read it for inspiration. Not only was i inspired, but ideas began to multiply like rodents and thus, i decided i would write a modest spin-off, cross-over series (perhaps 10 chapters in all) in time for Christmas. A gift of heart warming, mousey fic for the holidays.
Series Title: Of Mice and Men
Summary: In which the adventures and tails of Holmes, Watson, and their two familiars Basil and Dawson, are recorded.
Ideas thus far:
1) Dawson is grievously injures, Watson heals, and Holmes comforts Basil
2) Basil and Dawson help out Holmes and Watson on a formal case and in exchange Holmes grants Basil a favor
3) Dawson goes to Watson for help about Basil's boredom
4) Basil and Dawson have a discussion about family.
