Chapter Two: The Plan
Harry and Ron trudged into the common room. Harry stood back, smirking. Ron turned to look at him. "...Get back here."
"Nope. Your plan. You go first. It was your idea, darling."
Ron glared daggers. Harry waved at him.
"I hate you." Ron muttered, turning around and looking in the direction of the blond boy fiddling with his camera in a corner.
Ron ran a hand through his hair, then set the very definition for "strutting", which he was currently doing over to Colin's corner.
Harry couldn't help himself. He began snapping his fingers. "Never know how much I love you. Never know how much I care. When you put your arms around me I get a fever that's so hard to bare." Harry sing-songed happily.
Ron turned and stared at him. Harry shrugged. "What? It seemed appropriate." He smiled nervously.
Ron continued staring at him, a look of utter confusion on his face.
Harry sighed. "Forget it. Remind me to make you watch muggle TV sometime." He smiled and motioned for Ron to move on.
Ron continued his strutting and leaned against Colin's chair, looking down at him. Colin was oblivious.
"Oh. Shit. Where did this go again? Argh. Okay, obviously not there. Maybe... OW. Okay, no, not there either." Something must of happened to his camera, because he was trying his damned hardest to put a peice back in through every single empty space he could find. By the amount of scrapes on his fingers and hands, he obviously wasn't having very much progress.
"Hey, Colin. Having trouble with your camera?" Ron asked, sitting down on the arm of the chair.
Colin grunted, trying to shove the strange peice in the back of the camera. "Yeah."
Ron stared at the camera. "What happened?"
"Ginny asked to borrow it, so I let her. But she dropped it on accident and some peices fell out. I've managed to get the other ones in, but this one still won't fit."
"Can I see it?" Ron held out his hand.
"Alright." Colin dropped the peice in Ron's palm.
Ron stared at it for a while, then smiled. "I think I know the problem, Colin."
"What is it?"
"It looks like it might connect something, rather than go in something. See if anything is missing a connecting peice." Ron handed the peice back to him.
"Hey, thanks! ...Was there something you wanted?" Colin looked up at him.
"Just wanted to see what you were up to." Ron smiled and ran his finger down Colin's arm. "You don't mind if I sit here, do you?"
"No! Of course not. I don't mind at all." Colin's cheeks turned a rosy pink.
Harry stayed in his safe little spot near the stairs, watching the two boys talk and laugh for some time. He was getting increasingly annoyed by the amount of subtle flirting going on. He was going to put a stop to it.
"Where's Harry, anyway? You two didn't get in a row or anything, did you?" Colin asked.
Harry sat down opposite of Colin, folding his legs up on the chair. "No. We're fine. I was just... reading." Harry lied.
Ron looked at him suspicously. Harry smiled innocently. All of this went unnoticed by Colin.
"I see. Ron helped me fix my camera, Harry!" Colin proudly stated, holding the camera up for Harry to see.
"Wicked. I didn't know Ron knew about cameras." Harry grinned at the red-head.
"Shut up, Harry." Ron muttered.
Harry laughed and reached out, taking Ron's arm. "Get over here."
Ron fell into Harry's lap and smirked. "Well, aren't you flirty today, Potter."
"Like you're not?"
Colin flushed more, staring blankly down at his camera, fiddling with the strap. Harry and Ron watched him, sly smiles on their faces.
Colin glanced up and noticed the predatory grins. "W-what?"
"Do you want to go up to our dorm room?"
