I heard the saddest story yesterday. I think the worst part of it is that it was true. My little cousin’s best friend had gotten into a fight with this kid last year. It so happens that the kid my cousin’s friend fought has a little brother in middle school. They live in a broken home consisting of the mom and the grandparents (aside from the brothers). Well it appears that the younger of the two had some problems in school and was suspended. The child went home, called his best friend sobbing, left a message, went to the garage, and shot himself in the head. The mother was at work. The brother was in school. His best friend was in school. And the grandparents heard the gun shot. They ran to the garage to discover his body.

Its sad how at such young ages, having a bad day can seem so much worse than it really is. What could have been going through his mind? I know that the pre-teen years are one of the hardest, but what can honestly push you that hard? Some people may look at this and roll their eyes thinking "what a dumb-ass little kid." I look at this and worry. What pushed him? Why? Where things that bad? What if he would have hurt someone else also? Did he really feel that alone? ...
