still alive
wow! its been such a long time! i thought life was going to slow down once finals ended...but i guess all that time i set aside to study i used as journal time and now there isnt any. this past weekend was long but pretty good. whit had kvilles prom on sat and she looked gorgeous of course. it was a very very stressful day for her since the person who promised to do her make-up ended up going down to the truck show with some guy. she was hurt enough with that, then had to do her own makeup. but she still looked stunning :) and she had a good time!
sunday was tougher than i expected. but i kept busy with church, jonathan and his family and work. yeah work, i had to go re-cert myself for guarding...on a sunday, on mothers day! and boy was it funny. there was one other chic and a guy with me. and when we were doing the backboarding, we had to backboard this 225 lb guy...and he was so worried we were going to drop him back in the water, all strapped to the board and all. he just didnt realize im a monster and could pull him out by myself (which i did!). also sunday was bad for my dieting. mrs jarrett wanted to go to olive garden for lunch...which is trouble for anyone on a diet. and then for dinner we cooked hamburgers on the grill--another no-no. but oh well, i've been making up for it since then.
friday and monday i subbed at shores. i had a mean girls deja vu on fri. you know in the "mean girls" preview and movie where the blonde chic says to LL "you are really pretty" and LL says "thanks" and the blonde says "oh, so you think you are pretty?" well on friday, one of my students came up to me, grabbed my hand and said "you are so pretty"...with the movie coming to my mind, i didnt know what to say...said "thanks" and just hoped she wasnt going to say the rest of the dialogue. which she didnt--just smiled this huge smile and walked away. it was sorta weird. i still dont know if she was joking.
tuesday i went to the beach, and it was GORGEOUS! i ended up getting red in the face. and the guy at the gym joked me...but thats ok b/c when i woke up yesterday you couldnt even tell i was a tomato 12 hours before. i think i might go again today...my goal is to go when not a lot of ppl have to see me in my bathing suit. i'm such a nice person! :)
