Return of the Princess!

So lesse here. Update time right..
Still unemployed. Still broke. Lots of snow outside... But YAY for fandom and music keeping me relatively sane!
So here's what happened today to throw me back to LJ...
Today's key words are: phone calls, snow, earthquakes and craziness.
1. At 5:15am this morning the house phone rang and scared the crap outta me. Usually early morning calls aren't good news. I jump up and ran for the phone to answer. It was the automated call/message thing from Mom's school stating that there was a 2 hour delay for student at her elementary school (where she works). Went to wake her up and see if she go the message on her cell too. She did. She turn on the TV to check the weather and right after seeing the radar's blob of blue on us, there this tiny bit of news....
2. News being a 4.3 earthquake in Dekalb about 30 miles or so from us... The rest of the house had slept through it, I didn't notice anything myself. Linky link DeKalb Earthquake, Illinois Earthquake.
3. Finished watching "White Collar" #111 'Home Invasion' off the DVR and then slept for awhile. Poor Neal. Peter was really annoying this week wasn't he!
4. Got up later and made about 7 phone calls regarding today's projects to get done. Called mom a couple times. Called the school's central office twice. Called back State Farm about the message they left me on Monday that I forgot to call them about yesterday. Called and left spikess another voicemail to add the the several she already has on there from me to listen to.
Called Troy, ranted about all the crazyness. Found out that today was his girlfriend's birthday so I yelled for Acathla to come sing Happy Birthday to her with me. Made Girlfriend smile according to Troy.
5. Left the house. Took Acathla to school's central office to drop off her paperwork for direct deposits. Called the bank. Then dropped her off at the Junior High to sub for a janitor. Went to the bank. Got my paperwork for direct deposits. Went back to school's central office to give them my paperwork. Came home.
6. Got online for a little bit started typing this post. Caught up on my silver_wick journal. Checked out the top page of this journal. Haven't commented to much yet though.
7. Got offline. Watched last night's episode of "The Forgotten" 'My John'. I wonder is girlie from that episode is joining the show. Watched Monday's episode of "Life Unexpected" "Bong Intercepted'. Cool episode. I like Baze!
8. Helped make tacos for dinner.
And now I'm just gonna wrap this up and go watch tonight's "Criminal Minds" and "CSI:NY". I'll try and post again soon this time with more of a fandom slant on things.
In the meantime I was wondering about a couple things.
1- Does anyone here still watch "Smallville"?? If so didja see Friday's movie event episodes??
2- Anyone have any cool fics for me to read. Any of my fandoms. Any of the pairings. Kinda whatever. Did you write something while I was away from LJ? Link me please I wanna read it. Got any recs? I'm totally up for those too. I seem to have run out of printed fic to read so now I'm back to reading online ones.
Night all I'll catch ya later maybe after my meeting at the my insurance company tomorrow afternoon.
