(no subject)
I've been much less frequent in my posts of late. Mostly this is because I've been so blasted tired...getting up at 6 am each day is wearing on me. I'm crashing out around 10 pm every night, which is fine, I guess...
Tomorrow is morathi's and my anniversary. Right now the concern is that weather forecasts are calling for rain and thunderstorms tomorrow now, which is not something I want to have to deal with. We were planning on going to an amusement park, but if the weather looks bad all that will be out the window. We'll have to see what happens...I'm being optimistic that the weather will clear, but right now, as I look out the window at a flat, pale gray sky, it doesn't look promising.
My anniversary present to morathi arrived last night. As I won't be getting mine till September after it's released, I decided to let her open hers yesterday when we got home. I got her copies of Lightbulb Sun (2 CD edition) and Stupid Dream (2 disc edition with 5.1/DVD-A mix bonus disc) by Porcupine Tree, which leaves her essentially 3 albums short of having the major core releases from Porcupine tree (remaining: On The Sunday Of Life, Recordings, and Moonloop). She was very happy, and that made me happy.
I'm being a good boy and not bidding on anything on eBay this week, despite there being 2 out of print Zappa albums up that I long to purchase (Civilization Phaze 3 and 200 Motels). But I am resisting, as much as I can, anyway.
Work has been...work. I guess. morathi is pulling 2 to 3 hours overtime every day (except Monday, when she left on time to catch up with me being sick at a friend's house (see previous post here: http://prjt2501.livejournal.com/407755.html ). Last night she didn't get back over to my job till nearly 7 PM. I'm glad she got a ride back over. I've been busy working on computers, and this week has been a busy one for me in specific. Thankfully we both have the weekend off...as above, I just hope things hold out so we can enjoy it. We started discussing contingency plans in the event that it ends up raining, and it looks like if it does, we're going to Woodbridge (maybe I can squeeze in a stop at Vintage Vinyl...one can dream, can't one???) and then dinner at Steak and Ale. I'd still rather go to an amusement park, though.
23 minutes till the store opens.
10 days-ish till Gojira is finally released in the United States in its original, unedited, Japanese release form. 2 months following, Godzilla Raids Again/Gigantis the Fire Monster and Godzilla vs. Mothra/Godzilla vs. The Thing will both be released...finally the original Japanese versions will see the light of day here in the US.

Tonight we have to hit the pet store (another supply of Frontline...we bought 1 - 3 month supply, but we have two cats, and thus it's really only a 2 month supply for 1 cat and a 1 month for the other) followed by getting some new shoes for morathi. Back to school shopping is coming up very very soon. And even though we're talking about going to the grocery store on Sunday, I think we'll end up going tonight anyway.
And I have tried so hard not to do any quizzes/memes/stuff lately, but I could not pass this one up...
