Long day...
Today's been an interesting day. I worked 10-2 with the boss and my buddy Karen. Then Mary Kay says, "Priya, can I talk to you in the back for a minute?" So I'm thinking "Oh shit, what did I do now?" Once we get there, she's like, "Beverly just called...and quit. So I was wondering if you would come back again at 4 to work her 4-9 shift. I also wanted to see if you could work 10-5 for her tomorrow." I'm just like WTF? Since I'd be working with Esther 4-9, I agreed...so yeah, I worked 9 hours today! I can't wait till I get paid on Friday, yay. I love working with Esther because we are so lazy. We did some work, then sat around and mostly talked...gotta love it.
Brandon called me while I was working, and I'm happy to say that we had a great conversation. At one point he just said "I'm sorry," so of course I asked him why--his response: "For losing you." I did not want to get into that so I just told him that I thought we were much better being "just friends" anyway (which I truly do believe now). He left it at that, thankfully. I told him I was coming down to Arkansas in mid-October, and he made it seem like he was going to come see me...hmmmm. Anyway, we had a good time talking--no arguments, no awkward silences, etc. It went well, and I hope we can be friends.
Now I'm gonna go watch Seven. It seems like a good movie...Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are in it, and they are trying to track a serial killer who murders people based on the seven deadly sins. It's a few years old, but it seems really good. I'm out, night.
