YAY!
NADIA PEED IN THE BIG POTTY TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Lately, Nadia has woken up with completely dry diapers in the morning. I mean, not even one drip. So, today I put her on the potty right after she woke up. She didn't want to sit there, somehow it has become a traumatic experience with her. I know partly that its my fault because I calmed her down and said, "I won't be mad at all, I promise." and she agreed to sit then.
Bad mommy!
Anyway, I sat her down and then, to take her mind off the situation, I got her a drink. She likes these flavored yogurt drinks (*shudder*). We sat there, she drank while I sang her a song and talked to her. About five minutes later, I hear her peeing and she looks down.
"Mommy, I did su-su in the potty!"
"Nadia!! NADIA!!"
At this point, she looks up at me with a worried expression...until she saw my HUGE smile. Man, what did I do to scare my little girl! *worried*
"YAY, NADIA! YOU DID SU-SU IN THE POTTY!! I'M SOOOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!"
Nadia then gets this enormous smile on her face, her eyes get even bigger and shinier (no, I'm not kidding, they did!) and she says, "I DID IT!!"
I start clapping and squeeing and, yes, crying too. No more buying diapers! Hopefully this progress will just continue and the pack of diapers we just opened will be our last.
First she says her name properly yesterday and now this. My baby is really growing up. *sniff*
