Genre: fanfiction (D.Gray-man)
Rated: PG-13
Started: 26.11.2006
Ended: 26.11.2006
Author's Note: I've always wanted to write something for D.Gray-man ever since I read the first nine volumes yet wanted to depict the intensity of the story despite the comical elements. There are spoilers in this drabble, so those of you that haven't read up to volume nine, don't read!

Summary: How beautiful, he thought, despite the fact that he preferred the indigo blue of the night sky. Something about the twinkling of those pure white stars made him feel this sense of hope. Or was it just therapeutic?

---------------------------

The sky framed by the bamboo shoots was topaz blue.

How beautiful, he thought, despite the fact that he preferred the indigo blue of the night sky. Something about the twinkling of those pure white stars made him feel this sense of hope. Or was it just therapeutic?

Nevertheless, the blue before him reminded him of that eye, the untouched one that stared back at him with innocence.

A lone butterfly floats to his shoulder, fluttering its wings mockingly, its royal blue hues painting the silky surface.

That color was the universal sign of freedom, he noted. The ironic that it would appear next to those chains of death right now.

Fingering the stack of scattered cards, he looked down again, a blank stare slowly glazing over with each tick of the clock.

"It has been fun," he whispered as he walked away, "good bye, Allen Walker."
