Ebony & Irony @ The Senator Theatre
Yesterday afternoon Joyce Scott and I were one of the performing groups @ The Senator Theatre in Baltimore. The official description for the week-end's events was 'The Senator Sessions.'
It might have been our best performance, ever. The tech people were on top of everything (except for the unfortunate sustain pedal incident) and best of all Joyce and I had a terrific time. We performed several of my pieces and also several pieces that are classics and have been performed by those artists who came through the Left Bank Jazz sessions in the '60's and '70's.
We seem to do better when it's just the two of us since we're the performance equivalent of a Vulcan Mind Meld.
Monday's are clean sweep days and I'll get some Zippy work finished as well as tend to those irksome details of life.
