I love this. After we found out about Cara's son, I have always viewed Cara's betrayal of Darken in a different light. How much was it motivated by anger and jealousy because Cara felt Darken had betrayed her loyalty by marrying Kahlan and displacing her son with Nicholas?

So sad at the end, Cara thinking about her son, and knowing she can never tell Richard or Kahlan about him.

I'm glad you liked it.

Yeah, finding out about their son changed everything for me. For me, it has become a large part of who Cara is and influences a lot of her choices throughout the storyline (and in my fics).

The whole episode of Reckoning takes on a new meaning once you know about Cara's son.

I know. If you go back and watch again after knowing about Cara's son, a lot of things come across very different.
