Two LotS Fic Ideas
These are two fic ideas I had in the shower this morning, that I don't have time to write right now, so I thought I'd put them out in the ether in case anyone else wants to make me super happy do it.
1. A LotS/Revenge Fusion: Nolan = Zedd, a fabulous wizard who is forever young thanks to his powers. Emily = either Cara or Salindra, whoever you prefer. Fill in the other characters as you like, though my thinking would be: The Graysons = Panis and Darken Rahl's mother, Daniel = Darken, Jack = Richard, Ashley = Cara, Charlotte = Jennsen. And you know. Roll with the whole Revenge theme, maybe get Zedd and Salindra/Cara together in the end, or maybe they both die horribly. Not sure yet how I would do it. Knowing me, they'd probably die horribly.
2. Love Me, Love Me Not: You could do this with any female character, but I think it makes the most sense to use Kahlan, since there's the Reckoning storyline where she actually is married to Darken Rahl. So, Kahlan marries Darken Rahl, and to her very great surprise, after a few months of stilted horribleness, he starts being sweet, and she falls in love with him. Then all the sudden, he's back to being a jackass. And so on and so forth - sweet - jackass - sweet - jackass. Eventually, the reader comes to realize (and maybe Kahlan too) that Darken sends Walter to romance Kahlan when he doesn't feel like it, and that's who Kahlan (or whatever woman you choose to write the story with) has fallen in love with. What happens after that? Does Kahlan know? Does Darken find out? Does he kill them both? Just Walter? Himself? Do they escape and ride off into the sunset? Where's Richard in all this? Is this a Reckoning AU, or a what I have come to call a Prophecy AU, in which Kahlan never crosses the Boundary and meets Richard, and instead marries Darken Rahl to try to bring peace to the Midlands?
Bonus points if at some point Kahlan gets pregnant and defiantly tells Darken that the baby is Walter's.
Oh, and if Kahlan is the woman used, let's assume she's Rada Han'd to take care of all confession/Confessor issues with Walter and Darken, cause that's not what I want the story to be about since I've already done that and this is my prompt, dammit. Yes good.

Also I have to go research for my thesis now, but I will totally reply to comments and messages sometime in the next week, I swear.
