I'm afraid that my brother and cousin are not good for each other at all. Sammy apparently calls Luispe a "brat in his eyes" and annoying and a liar, and my brother said, "Nobody believes me when I say something," and such a comment made me- makes me- want to cry. He believes my cousin wants him to be unhappy, loves bossing him around, hates to be around him. I told Luispe that such ideas were too mean, that I really don't think it was true. But even then. Sammy makes him believe such ideas are true, which isn't good.
I wanted to talk to Sammy about it but he refused to. I told him that we should try to resolve this horrid animosity that has developed between them. "Just keep me away from Luispedro." What about at Christmas? Do you plan to ignore him? "Yes." Sammy's mother doesn't help in lending an air of tolerance for any of Luispe's qualities that might not be so attractive. Nor does the negativity that is currently pervading our household due to Luispe's father.
The house is still apparently up for sale, simply because my mother hasn't had a chance to take it off the market. People came by to look at it. I hope they were slightly offended by my mess of a room.
