Project Runway: What happened?
When I first started my LJ account over 7 years ago, most of the threads were about Project Runway and Top Chef. I adored reading the various takes from LJ land about the designers and their antics. Over time, the interest and posts have waned, as we have all darted over to Facebook and spend most of our time and energy there.
So what happened? Did we lose interest in the show? Granted, the season the wretched Gretchen won was a downer, but this season is a treat. They have tweaked the show and the changes are for the better. Tim Gunn (genuflects) is still there, and his presence is growing with each season. He is now part of the final critique with the judges and offers his insider view to Heidi et al. These interactions with the judges have been both good and bad and we are all waiting for the much talked about "Tim Gunn Save" which will allow Tim one chance to rescue an eliminated designer. I can't wait to see who he rescues.
So, if you haven't watched this season, catch up, it's worth it. Pay particular atttention to the "Tie the Knot" episode which aired last week. The episode is an emotional powerhouse. I smell an Emmy.
