Author’s Notes:
laurantz said this in a recent post: The Manhugs: Whatever happened to these lovely, sweaty, non-sexual, come-here-papi, hug-it-out-bitch embraces?! I'm a sucker for these, I don't know why. I definitely want the classics: Sucre & Michael and Michael & Linc, but I'd also love to see Mahone be hugged by, well, any of them, really. So this covers some of it, though Sucre is not involved in this bit. This gave me an opportunity to explore the reasons why Michael and Lincoln don't embrace more often, as well as incorporate something I heard Wentworth say in a recent interview. The last section could be considered spoilery, I guess, though it's based on nothing I've read--just my imagination. It was actually a very interesting piece to write. This is not slashy in anyway, even if you squint. :-)
Lincoln had hugged him goodbye, the fierce gripping of Michael's entire body pulled tight against Lincoln's bigger, and even then, more muscled torso that mashed his nose roughly into his face. It had hurt, but he hadn't cared.
