I'm a Michael lover but think this is perfectly understandable. They seem like realistic thoughts for Linc and it's not like he thinks "Whatevs Micheal, me no care" so it's all good!
I do think however that in the last secne of Linc in front of the mirror he was starting to doubt his decision or least he looked to be torn by it.
I'm a Michael lover but think this is perfectly understandable. I'm very glad to hear that. I certainly don't want it to seem as if Linc didn't give Michael any thought. I'm sure it was very hard for him but in the end there is no place safe - they got to him before - for LJ other than at his side. I can't see him letting go of his son and after everything I don't see him able to put him in danger again by following Michael. For the moment he had no choice.

I agree 100%. You could almost see the wheels of *how do I protect my child and brother at the same time* turning in his head.
For the moment he sees no other way but stay and protect LJ but I'm betting over time he'll find a way to do both.
Be kind of cool - he's not really an innocent boy anymore - if LJ was the one to find the will and the way. Time will tell I guess. Thanks
Thanks ;o) While I'm sure letting Michael go off like that torn Linc apart but there is just nothing else he could have done.
They got to LJ before so there is nowhere to leave him and know he'd be safe. By Linc side is the only way he's knows that and I could see him not dragging LJ into more danger no matter how he wants to go after and help his brother.
I got another author to take up Michael's POV for this same scene. You can find hers right after this one. I'm gonna put a call for a 3rd writer to take up LJ's pov at the same time too because how cool is it to see the hearts and minds of all three in that moment.

LJ is only a boy -- my son's safety is the only thing I can think of for now.
Love this line. Lincoln loves his brother but he is going to do everything that he can to protect the son that he loves.
Whoo Hoo!!!!!
What a great b-day gift!
