“Move and you’re dead.” “I say I’m dead and I move”

Listening to The Crow soundtrack this morning. ^_^ I haven't listened to it in sooo long. I'd forgotten how much I love it (and the movie). Which got me thinking about the fact that probably over half of my LJ list has never heard of this movie that was so important to me in high school, let alone seen it. A movie for which I have four or five posters, a t-shirt, a few photos, a postcard or two, the soundtrack, the score, and the complete collectible card set. All my friends and I were *hugely* into this movie (and into Brandon Lee). Sometimes it's funny how much difference a few years makes.

Side note: The president of the company is doing a career day at an elementary school. Because of this, I now have reason to picture him as a little smiling snowman. My day just got way better. ^_^

Oh, and I may finally have contacts that work! I got a new pair last night and am currently wearing them at work with no real difficultly (image not quite as crisp as will my glasses, but you'll have that). Wheeeee!!!! This potentially ends a 6 year ordeal of pain with eye doctors. Yeah, everyone who knows me in person (not just LJ), the fact that I wear glasses all the damn time is because after I moved to Indy, I stopped being able to get contacts that worked well enough. I was always a wear-contacts-all-day-only-put-on-glasses-before-bed person before. That may be a bit more balanced now because I have glasses I really love, but expect to see me sans spectacles more often now.

OMG!!! I just found this on the Apple Geeks page! There is a photo book of Japanese love hotels!! Squeee! I am so buying this book after I get paid tomorrow!!! **dances** This will almost make up for the fact that I didn't get to visit one when I was actually in Japan! (Not that I would have used it for the appropriate purpose, considering my sig. other was back in the States at the time, but I just wanted to go in a room, look around, and perhaps make inappropriate jokes that would make Jeff and/or Kiwi uncomfortable. ^_~)

Oh, and we got *another* free lunch today at work and I probably am having Greek food for dinner. ^___^ This day is going so well.

japan, work, movies, things that make me go fangirl, books
