I suppose one could imagine that I should feel regret for killing innocents in pursuit of our goals.

However, we had our reasons and for that, I feel no regret. So long as I followed what I believed in, then my actions were justified.

Why would anyone regret killing someone? It's the easiest method isn't it?

Easiest. But morally not always the best choice.

There are consequences for taking a life, and I knew of them.

If done correctly, there are no consequences for taking a life.

Some might say that. Others not. I see both sides and I will do what I believe is right.

No. I'm...not a soldier.

Hm, is that so?

Your responses and attitude make you sound like you could be one.

Soldiers have choice.

It depends on the type. Those who are foolishly loyal follow orders without question in essence do not.

Still. It's their choice to be loyal to whomever they're serving, right?

...In my world, the Score would not allow this choice. If it is said that you will serve under one side, then that is what the person will do.

But what you say is true. It is a person's choice on what they want to do, including whom they serve.
