My goddaughter is ridiculously adorable. Mine mine mine mine! Also ridiculous: I neglected to take pics with my camera phone so I have to wait until I finally develop the film in my ol' 35mm in order to show off tonight's photos. I hope this occurs sometime before her high school graduation. I fear that by her college commencement "developing film" will be a tougher feat than... well, at present, finding someone who repairs 8-track players.
My cousin says that 3-month-old Natalie is much more vocal than baby's older brother, Graham, was at that age. At one point tonight, I was alone with baby and getting a lot of smiles and coos, so I switched to Chinese in my own baby-talk, and let me tell you, Natalie was just chatting up a storm in response! I'm sure it was the equivalent of "WTF, mate? What ARE you saying?", but it was very entertaining.
Later I played hide-and-seek with Graham. Graham is almost four and can count to at least twenty ~ with a few extra stops at number eighteen. *g* Definitely related to me.
Plus, I had forgotten how much I enjoy hide-and-seek.
