The movie tells the (true) story of convict Henri Charrière, nicknamed Papillon, who was imprisoned in 1933 in the notorious Devil's Island penal colony and finally managed to escape in 1941.
R - Return of the King (The third movie of the LotR Trilogy by Peter Jackson)
Aragorn makes a hot king, indeed, but I have to admit that my heart belongs to the hobbits, first of all, Samwise Gamgee. He might not be a king but for me, he is the hero of the whole story.
I - Invictus (Sports Drama by Clint Eastwood)
The movie is based on the book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Made a Nation by John Carlin about the events in South Africa before and during the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
S - Sea of love (Thriller with Al Pacino)
The movie tells the story of a burned-out, alcohol-addicted detective who halfhearted tries to catch a serial killer, whose victims are lonely men looking for some fun. One of the suspects is a woman named Helen Cruger, but instead of being careful Keller oversteps the lines quickly and starts to date her.
C - Calendar Girls (British Comedy)
The movie is based on a true story of a group of middle-aged women who decides to produce a nude calendar to raise money for Leukaemia Research after the cancer death of the husband of one of their members.
A - Apollo 13 (Doku-Drama by Ron Howard)
The movie tells the true story of the astronauts Lovell, Swigert and Haise aboard Apollo 13 on their way to the Moon. Until an explosion deprives them of much of oxygen supply and electrical power. The moon landing is canceled, and the mission turns into a struggle to get the three men home safely.
