Remember that CoP started you off with some new zones to exp in and just sorta get lost in (Bibiki, Uleguerand, Movalpolos, Attohwa, Carpenter's Landing), and a mission progression that was nigh-impossible (remember them having to tweak down the difficulty of the Promyvion missions three times in the first six months so that people could actually complete them?). No new jobs. Nothing that really changed the way you play... especially since most people didn't really start gunning toward the missions until 6 months or more after the expansion came out (and more chapters were finally added).
By contrast, WotG has a potentially interesting storyline, lots of new history that weaves right into the current story, two new jobs (one of which, at least, is having a pretty hefty impact on how people play), new zones to level at a variety of ranges, and the entire Campaign system (which is fun to participate in, and allows for some decent solo exp). Out of the gate, it has already changed how I spend spare time in-game.
I'll not discuss TAU. I still believe that the entire expansion was little more than a "look at the shiny monkey" for level 75 players. Lots of "neat" activities, but nothing cohesive in the end. My biggest regret about the missions was that not enough characters died.
