I am ashamed. I've disappointed all of you by not posting anything real for a long time, and I'm sorry. It's just so hard to bring myself to actually write it down. It's so much easier to just tell people. So, I'm gonna try and make a very basic recap post. Here goes:
Okay, let's start from the part where I got a boyfriend. Wow, it seems like so long ago, but it was only July 15th that we first met in real life/became official. I met him on MySpace, which I have now discovered to not be the best way to go about things, especially if you're looking for something long-term. He was really sweet to me and asked me to his school dances, and we even got quite a bit of snogging and such in there for the few times we got to see each other. But it wasn't meant to be. Apparently, he wasn't really ready for a relationship yet, and he was only going with it because he thought the feeling would go away and we could just go on like nothing had been wrong, because he really did like me. At least that's what he said. But it's ok. I think of Robert as a sort of "next step", to prepare me for a real, lasting relationship. I needed it, after all of my being not good enough for guys days.
Next, I suppose I should talk about Harmony Camp. That was just... how shall I put it? A nightmare. Imagine about 300 teenagers who love barbershop music. Most of them girls. That's what I was dealing with. I even got a love note from one of them, which talked about making love while listening to a showtunes cd. Freaky. And then there was the weirdest conversation I've ever had in my entire lifteime.
"You're gay? Really? Woooooooooow. I've never met a gay person before."
"Well, I've met lesbians, but I've never met gay people."
"So, have you ever, you know, liked girls?"
"Just so you know, I'm afraid of gay people, so if you could step back a little bit..."
"You know, you'd make a really good psychiatrist. But don't tell anybody you're gay, because then they won't come to see you. And don't have an affair with any of your male clients."
...Yeah. And I was almost stuck there, because our car had broken down, and my dad didn't think he could come and get me. Frightening. Anyway, As you can see, it was an interesting end of the summer. Then I got to school. Not much has happened, so I don't really have anything to tell. At least, not anything big. I'll tell you what's going on there in due time.
Remember, if anybody needs somebody to talk to about anything, just IM me. I'm always willing to help people with stuff. Especially if it involves the FDA. No, not the Food and Drug Administration. Ask me about it if you wanna know more.
