i feel this book was about freedom...2 kids growing up and seeing the chaos
that is their world and wanting freedom from it. They struggle, as we read,
we share their struggle as they grow up. the writing was a bit weird in my
opinion, that however didn't deter me from reading it. the story bounced
around a lot, yet it held my interest.
i can't really express in words my thoughts about the plot. i did find
parts of the story sad though and the book is full of emotion. i did like
the bond that Ella had with her brother and how she watched over him and
wanted the best for him. i feel there was a lot of love between the two of
them.
i am surprised i was so invested in this book as i am not truly a sci fi
fan. it takes a lot to hold my interest in a sci fi book and it normally
has to have other genre elements i truly enjoy like touches of romance,
fantasy, horror or paranormal- to list a few. This book succeeded in that
also with Ella and Kev having special powers.
