5 chapters in & I'm already feeling some type of way about how one of my
main characters is being treated....this is part of the reason I like
Chamberlain's books. they have a tendency to succeed at swallowing me whole
very slowly from the start of the story. Then I tend to physically jump
into the book and see first hand into the goings on at just the right
pace....
like I'm on a park bench watching everything but I'm physically in the book
setting--
my own world fades away everytime i open the book to continue the journey!
its a very odd feeling....
Kristin Hannah's books tend to do the same to me.
it normally takes me longer to read their books cause I feel like I'm
really on a physical trip somewhere....sometimes with the endings leaving
me in book hangovers.
I already want to cheer for this main character and hope she makes it out
of this stronger and shining like the sun...

Lisa is pissing me off...I'm curious how this story will end for her.

I was hoping there would be more going on in this story. it was kind of
like a cozy mystery 😕
