This makes me very sad for the state of the world.

Sigh, ok people listen up. I'm gonna be anonymous because I'm not signing up for a frigging VICE account.

This is one of the many, many ways we're destroying the earth. Like mad cow, the virus that is humanity will not be noticed by the host organism until it's too late to do anything about it. Case in point: natural disasters.

We're a plague and the earth is finally wising up to this, and doing everything in its power to fight the disease. This would work too, save for the fact that earth is used to using much longer periods of time to heal itself, and we aren't giving it that luxury.

So we've got two options, stop this nonsense and start using taxpayers money for GOOD, rather than subsidizing industries that facilitate this bullshirt, and introduce new mandates for packaging on a global scale, reduce the amount of plastic that enters the system, and remove used plastic from the consumer system quickly and efficiently. That will cost too much you say?

So my neighbours go on vacation for a month. Over the course of the month I have a few parties and people throw random garbage into their yard. Not alot, but it's consistent.

Then the neighbours get home and by the time they do their lawn is almost covered with this crap. They ask me to remove it, and I respond by saying I'm too busy to do it myself and it would be too expensive for me to have it removed, besides, I didn't do this it was all my friends! Why don't you ask them to clean it up??

Point of this little story? I never agreed to allow these industries to CREATE so many pollutants, the government did. Now its a problem for the entire planet, and I'm feeling pressure to do something about these industries.. but explain to me why I should even bother? I didn't invite these plastic cats to the party, the most I should do is complain and have the person who DID invite them (the government) take care of the situation.

I'd let this slide if it wasn't possible for my neighbour to file damages against me if he has to clean it up himself, a recourse given to him by my own governments legal system.. I smell precident!

The government is responsible, if they don't do anything about our requests we have every damn right to get rid of them and replace them with people who will! This will not be achieved by "voting", because it's the SYSTEM that needs to be replaced, not the puppets! Not only that but if anyone does rise up for a good cause our own government will step in with planted actors at my demonstration and try to give me AND my cause a bad name! This is usually when you come back with guns and remove the fuckers, but they have most of the guns!

If you wanna save the world, the earth can handle a little more garbage, it's flooded already. Let's use this time to save the world from the rich fatcats who are taking advantage of this situation! STOP BUYING PLASTIC. PERIOD. STOP GIVING MONEY TO COMPANIES THAT MAKE PLASTIC. FIND OUT WHERE YOUR PRODUCTS ARE COMING FROM AND BE SURE ITS NOT THE ENEMY. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OPINION. DO YOU THINK THIS SITUATION IS SERIOUS ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT? I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANOTHER WORD ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT FROM ANYONE WHO STILL WEARS NIKES OR BUYS ANYTHING WRAPPED IN PLASTIC!!! DONT WORRY ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT ANYONE ELSE IS DOING IT, IF YOU ARE THATS GOOD ENOUGH!!! LEAD BY EXAMPLE NOT BY COMPLAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
