Andre Jackson, a Newark high school student, paid 150 dollars to have this picture of himself kissing his boyfriend in his yearbook. (Apparently the back of the yearbook contains many pictures of different-sex couples kissing.) When the superintendent saw the photo, she blacked it out of all 230 copies. In the interest of fairness, I'm posting it here. There are just about 200 people on my friends list, so some of you will have to post the picture on your journals, too, to make sure Andre gets his money back.
EDIT: It looks like media coverage of this has shamed the superintendent into printing uncensored versions of the yearbook, so the point may be moot.
