Sick Snake

Hi,
I am writing because I just rescued a Ball Python that was abandoned at a gas station and took it home. He is about 3 feet long and apparently a male. I fed him a couple of mice and he is eating OK. His skin looked a little dehidrated, and he has some red marks on his underbelly, but everything else seemed fine.... until this morning. I went to pick him up and realized that he was weezing. I thing he might've developed a cold while he was outdoors. I live in Puerto Rico, which is considerably warm all year long, but lately it has been raining and it's been a little chilly. Well, I am kinda scared that he might be sick and I have no way of helping him. I have had snakes before, but I have never had a sick one, and there are no vets for exotics in the area. I asked the vets at work but they don't know a thing about snakes. I was wondering if any of you may know what to give him to help him breathe better. Does he need antibiotics? Should I put him in a warmer environment than he is now? I don't wanna make him toooooo hot, but I dunno how much is enough.
Please help me... As i said before, there are no exotics vets in the area, so don't say take him to the vet, it is a waste of time and lifejournal space.
