Classes
I still like Interviewing and Assessment, but the loads of work for it is just about to start. Biology still sucks, and I have a quiz today which I'm supposed to be studying for, but I really don't wanna. At least I somewhat understand the class so far. Oh crap... I forgot to water our stupid lab plants Friday after my English class. I like having Wednesdays off still, but that will be ending next week. Public Speaking sucks, and I don't want to do it, even if I did write a good introduction speech and my teacher did say I could be a public speaker if I wanted to learn it better. I still freakin hate standing in front of the class and talking. It sucks! English is going ok, but it will be even more work than I thought. I have a rough draft of a paper due Friday and I guess I'll be writing it tmrw and Thursday. It shouldn't be too hard, but I have like 4 chapters to read too. Yuck.
Babysitting
The kids are still fine. The little girl, Caitlyn, is too cute. Last week, she had a friend spend the night, so Trey pretty much just played video games in his room and Caitlyn, her friend Sarah, and I played bowling on their Nintendo Wii. Then we watched some movie Caitlyn loves called "The Trial of Old Drum" till they fell asleep. I didn't get much homework done, but it wasn't too bad. I've been making $60 a night so far, so that's been nice.
Friends
I've been back in touch much better with a couple friends from back home, which is nice. Not in touch with much of anyone from Ft Wayne. The girls I work with that I had become friends with seem fairly uninterested with keeping in touch. Whatever. Other than that, I keep in touch with Amy through here, but it's starting to seem like I'll never make it back to Ft Wayne and OF COURSE, when she and Spencer came to Indy, we had to be in Syracuse. And, I'm glad I met some people here, but geez, it seems impossible to hang out with anyone! Everyone has such conflicting schedules. I managed to make plans with two people last Wednesday, only to have both cancel on me that day. It was fine. I did have stuff to get done, but still! I just hate when people make plans with me and then always cancel them, and the one girl, Sarah, who I have most in common with, likes to make plans and then cancel. Usually it's super understandable, but it does get old.
Family
Well, someone tried to break into my parents house Friday night. While my parents were in Tampa visiting our cousins. While my sister was home alone. She was upstairs eating a tv dinner when she heard the dog start barking from the backyard. This reminded her that she hadn't fed him yet. So she went into the garage to get his food and then noticed that the doorknob into the garage from the backyard was jiggling. Then someone started throwing their full weight into the door. So she ran out of the garage and locked every door (4) between there and my parents' bathroom and called her boyfriend hysterical from there. His parents live down the street so he called them, while she called 911 and got a busy message. His parents got there within a few minutes and then he did too. They called the cops again and they came and wrote up a report and searched, but found nothing. My parents came home early the next morning, and Stephanie stayed at Kevin's house that night. Ok, I think they should just start thinking about moving. What is wrong with that neighborhood? They had a drug bust in it a couple years ago, where they discovered an "empty" house that had several expensive cars in the garage, over a million dollars in cash, and a hell of a lot of pot and cocaine. My mom says that was awhile ago and that the neighborhood really is fine now, but whatever.
Weekend
We went to Syracuse Saturday morning. Saturday was lovely since Michigan lost their cupcake game. Justin and his dad were in great moods. But we did see Shauna and meet her roommate Britney. We played basketball a lot at Justin's house. We ate horrible for you food. Brandon came in Sunday morning. We played more basketball. Justin and I made dinner. And we all went for ice cream and then for drinks at Huntington Street until they closed. Monday Shauna and Britney left back for Tenn. where they are in the Americorps. Then Justin and I left. Brandon left early this morning.
