RENT in Tampa
I post this every time RENT comes around and this year is NO DIFFERENT! lol
For those interested:
Things to bring to RENT:
o Drinks (non alcoholic, right)
o Snacks (chips, cookies, candy)
o Lunch/Dinner (think subs, that kinda stuff)
o Group Entertainment (board games, cards and the like.)
o Personal entertainment (magazines, cell phones, no dildos!)
o Cash Money ($20 per ticket) (TBPAC is weird and charges a 2.75 cent handling fee)
o Blankets, Pillows, Sleeping bags.
o Raincoat/Umbrella
o Change of Clothes
o Sun Block (if a sunburn is not desired)
o Sunglasses
o Camera
o Markers (for autographs, should you choose to get them)
o A social attitude.
What to Wear:
In Line:
- t-shirt and jeans
- pj's
- shirt and shorts
- anything you'll be comfortable in. remember if it's cold, dress really warm as you'll be in line for the better part of the day (12+ hours sometimes) if it's hot, wear minimal clothing. But nothing hoochie mamma-ish.
For The Show:
- RENT is the show about young artists: come in something kitsch.
- A polo and khakis.
- A collared shirt and jeans.
- A cute skirt and a blouse.
- Don't dress like a hoochie mamma.
Line Etiquette:
- Lists don't mean shit in the line: first come first serve.
- 20 cash. You don't have it? You don't get a ticket!
- Be nice! No line stankness.
- Clean your space.
- Coming with a group of people? Share resources!
- Be nice to other groups in line too! Make friends!
