If Pat's cock wasn't working, then he was doing one fuck of a job impersonating it working. Cameron shifted down on his bed and was reaching for his iPod to drown out the noises that had started about ten minutes after Aiden got home from work early when his cell phone started to buzz on his nightstand. And Aiden wasn't the silent type himself. Not at all. It wasn't exactly screaming, but it was definitely borderline. And they weren't even next door... they were up the bloody hall! If Cameron's cock ever stopped working, he wanted it to stop working like Pat's because it didn't sound like it could be half bad at all.
He grabbed up his phone and slid it open. "Hello?"
"Hello, Mr Preston. You've been selected as one of the men to receive free sex calls from our service. Instead of dialling us, we'll dial you. No matter how long, or how dirty things get, the cost of these calls are on us. Now tell me, how do you like it?" Iz said in her huskiest tone. She was smiling a little, just the idea of Cameron on the other end enough to soothe the ache she'd felt without him around.
"Hey, no. Bollocks to that. You know the last time my mate signed me up for one of these servives, you bastard charged me sixty friggen pounds!" Cameron protested, not cottoning on at all. "I'm not telling you how I like it. What? You got the timer going again? Arseholes."
Iz had to smile. She was also biting back some laughter. "Ooh, you like it rough, don't you? You know what I like? Cripple sex. Hard, hot, and with a certain kismet lay who I'm missing like hell."
Cameron had been about to break into another round of abuse but he stopped and snapped his mouth shut as the penny dropped. "Izzy?" he asked, just to make sure.
"I'd like to think you don't have any other kistmet lays," she responded as her voice returned to normal. "I take it phone sex is a sore spot for you?"
"More of a running joke with my mates. Sorry. My brain is operating on a different frequency at this moment. It's got interference from the soundwaves up the hall." Cameron pushed off the pillows and got over to sit on the side of the bed. "Are you okay? Everything alright?"
"Soundwaves? Oh, is Pat back in working order?" Iz took another look at Jamie as she made a noise in the affirmative. "Yeah, just babysitting while Ali tries to go rescue her paramedic. James' brother showed up. And I missed you, so... I'm calling. Ali might have made an interesting suggestion, and I wanted to ask you about it."
"Maybe they're just playing Hide and Seek? I dunno. He wasn't this morning. I asked him about it just got the head shake thing he does when he doesn't want to talk about something. But Aiden came home early and my god."
Cameron took a quick drink from the glass sitting besie the bed. "Yeah? Having fun? What suggestion? Should I be worried?"
Izzy stayed quiet for a moment as she tried to see if she could hear what Cameron was hearing. She caught a noise, and smirked. "Yeah, somehow I think the Hide and Seek is a little more interactive than usual. Maybe he just needed some time to recover?"
"She's been pretty quiet. Guess I'm not her Uncle Jimbo. I don't know, I mean, I hope it's not a bad idea that you'll worry about. She mentioned that Aiden was commuting from Princeton to New York everyday, and she thought maybe I could do the same. Be in Princeton, and hitch a ride with Aiden to work."
"I'm trying not to interfere because he's not used to having me in such close vicinity for so long. He's going back to work. Which I just took to be from the whole sexual frustrat-" Cameron stopped. "Oh. Okay, I figured it out."
"She has to get to know you. She hasn't spent much time with you, has she? Kids are cluey. More cluey than we give them credit for. I'll tell you, if our RJ gets handed to someone he doesn't know, it's on for young and old." He paused and listened to the suggestion. Aiden did commute, and Cameron usually was up to hear him leaving around six in the morning. "Like, move in together?"
"Figured what out?" Iz said as she stretched her legs out. "Is he going to be okay back at work?"
"Yeah, true. I'm just going to try not to break her. I'll work on the bonding slowly. He's the grandma puker, right?" Iz wet her lips. "Well, that part wasn't really clarified. I was kind of just thinking that maybe I could rent my own place. You know, that way nothing's rushed. I'd just make sure I could meet up with Aiden for the commuting."
"Yeah, he's only doing clinics or something. Like, consults with surgery patients. Pat's a Nurse Practitioner, meaning he's more like half way between a nurse and a doctor. He's a nurse-in-charge, and also an anaesthetist. So he can do all this other shit that's not just handing out bedpans. He's just going to take it easy, but I still get nervous." Cameron pulled his lips to the side. "He's got help with the little blue pills."
"Wow, our boy has a rep at five months. I'm so proud. That's him." He hesitated a little, realising this was a new step. "Well, it's not a bad idea or anything, but... are you sure? It's a pretty big thing. I know the commute can't be easy. He gets up at like four thirty in the morning."
"Oh wow, that's huge. I didn't realise he was so good. I mean, not that he wouldn't have been. You know what I mean, right? That's so amazing. It's great that he's got all those skills. Even if he's taking it easy, it can't be boring for him." Izzy's eyebrows went up. "Oh. Okay... I get it. Good for him."
"Yeah, well, one of his uncles at that gig the other day was incredibly proud of him, too. Made sure I knew the story." Izzy cleared her throat as she looked up at the ceiling. "Well, I mean, it's an idea. Even if it's one that's just out there for consideration."
"Yeah, he worked real hard at college. Did a lot of placements for extra credit. I just ran around a field chasing a ball. It's why he was so cut up when he got sick." Cameron nodded. "Yeah, but man, that's my baby brother up the hall sounding like a porno. Does kinda make me curious about the shit, though. Our RJ is a product of Viagra. Lachie's first hit with it after he got out of hospital."
"Josh? The drummer? He thinks the babe is a hero after the granny puke. I wish I'd thought of that when I was a kid and had grannies poking and prodding me," he sniggered. "It's not that I don't want to. I mean, I'll be in New York sometimes, but not like I was when we were at Aiden's apartment. We gotta be back here now with Pat wanting to try work again and here is more my pace than the city. Don't get me wrong, I like New York. Just, coming from England, it's a bit of a culture shock."
"Hate to break it to you, hon, but you really don't need Viagra. Most guys would be thrilled to hear that. Somehow I think you'll just be disappointed you can't try it." Iz smiled up at the ceiling as she slid further down. "Want me to counteract the baby bro porn with a soundtrack of my own?"
"Ah yeah, sounds like the right one. And I know, like I said... just an idea. But I get that you want to be in Princeton with Pat. He's your twin, so he comes first. I'm just trying to work out ways around this while we're still in the same country."
He grabbed up his phone and slid it open. "Hello?"
