Update of the NFTE tradefair. Basically, NFTE is compulsory for Year 12's at school and we have to set up our own business and such... We had a mini school trade fair a few months ago which Year 7-9's bought lots of stuff... *__* We sell makeup and badges... whilst everyone else sells mainly food or jewellery. Anyway, this was the ultimate trade fair but not everyone is allowed to sell at it, and we were chosen. Yaay~
No one bought too much and was all sellsellsell, so didn't go too greatly, business-wise. I didn't even buy that much myself. Humm... although the banner I made ages ago for the company someone took a picture of though. Oh, and I have a rather cheesy photo of me posing. XD I like my posing. I talked to the stall behind me and they were from Walthamstow college or whatever and ahh~ they were really awesome! Laa~ free lunch! Wasn't bad too. (^ ^) There were other events too! Like... voting for the best stall, Dragons' Den Lions' Lair (one of the businesses at school won £150), I also went to a workshop and talked to some entrepreneur, and I said something about sole traders and one of the Walthamstow girls said "Ooo~ long words!" XD~ There were also contests... The contests were fun. Dancing most to Grease (not many people danced apart but I did ^^) but... people who didn't really dance seemed to get it. o__O They didn't even LOOK like they were looking. Anyway, air guitar contest next... with inflatable guitars? Uhh... not so much air guitaring, ne?
Nevertheless, I went up for it. Don't ask me why. XDD But... at the sake of sounding egoistic, I OWNED that stage. So much so that the others apparently copied me. I wanted a mosh pit ;-; But yes. No other girl can handle headbanging as much as I, mwaha! Insaaane. So I was all... SKILLS, YEAH? And they just copied me. Whilst I was headbanging and "air" guitaring, I heard some chanting but couldn't quite make it out until it got louder and they were all "CA LING~ CA LING~" etc which was so awesome. And then you know you have that thing where you walk around in a circle on the floor? I did that. Oh, it was to The Darkness' 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love'. OH YEAH. XDD At the end when the song was finishing, I threw my inflatable guitar into the audience! Although not in the direction of my school... so they seemed to kind of avoided it. Anyway, yes, the chanting was so loud. Oh! The Walthamstow girls I met that day as well cheered me on! That was awesome.
The best one was supposed to get a prize. So after the song, they were like "we're gonna announce the winners now! Everyone can keep their inflated guitars" so was all "... oops." XD And anyway, NATURALLY I was expecting my prize but then SOME OTHER GIRL GOT IT. WHAT THE HELL. I OWNED THE STAGE. I really did. XDD And two people from my sixth form won prizes for cheering me on. XDD Ahh~ I have a number of theories why I didn't get it.
On the way back, all three of the NFTE teachers from my school said I should have got it! One of them said I should have complained and the other two said I was ROBBED. XDD I had a lot of fun though. It was an experience. Never done anything like that before! Never ever... My friends thought I was awesome. some pictures were taken by the official NFTE people so I probably will laugh at them if I see them. XDD
Went back to school to stuff things in my locker, told the head of sixth form, "I WAS ROBBED!" and he was all "O__O WHAT." and I explained but I don't think he believed I was that good. Ahh~ it's something you had to see. Think... everyone else just standing around, confused of what to do, and this lunatic jumping in, doing power slidey things, walking around in a circle ON THE FLOOR and being... well... INSANE! It was just like that, from what I gathered.
Monday should be interesting. =3
My legs hurt. I wonder why...
