Yaaay, my first contribution to the Princess Tutu fandom!
As I let slip
earlier, while surfing around Japanese PT fansites, I came across a report of a post-series live drama performed by the seiyuu and written by Ikuko Itoh. My first reaction was "No way, is this for real?!" because I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere in the English fandom (

Mytho's line about wanting to be with Tutu longer is intriguing, confusing, and sad for Rue. Does it mean that Mytho stays with her partially out of a sense of duty?
I wonder if anyone could have recorded the show....

Yeah, I wish someone could have recorded it too. It doesn't seem like anyone expected that this was going to happen though, so probably not. D: It would be awesome if at least a drama CD gets released someday, since it's very unlikely there will ever be a third season...

A mini-sequel was nice. I like a lot of parts of it but dislike others.. Autor's part was wonderful, and it's nice to see him play a bigger role. Uzura was so cute too. And Mytho amused me as usual, especially when he told Autor he was worried about Fakir seeing alligators and cows in the sky. ^^
Mytho does kind of make it sound like he only stays with Rue out of a sense of duty/pity.. \: I certainly hope it isn't that way. Mytho puzzles me..
As for if it should be considered canon or not.. I'm not really sure. There were a lot of "fourth wall missing" parts. I guess it could be considered a "possibility" as canon. That's how I consider it, anyway. It sounds fun to mess with too. The only thing I didn't like was the Mytho/Ahiru, I guess. XD And I so wished that Fakir and Rue could have been in it too.
Thank you again. ^^ ♥

Yeahhh...Mytho makes me both happy (when he thanks Ahiru and offers to do something for her), amused, and kinda annoyed in this.... XD; It's like he's saying "You mean so much to me BUT I CAN'T BE WITH YOU." The Japanese fans like to joke about him still missing "the heart shard of delicacy," LOL.
But I guess you could also interpret it as him stating the differences in his love for Rue and Tutu (like when he says he feels different things for each of them in the anime). Especially how he thinks of Tutu as "light," it sounds like he's talking about the light of hope.

That's how I took it to mean, so I wasn't too worried about it. I do think he comes on a little too strongly with it, but I think what he means is that he's glad to be in his kingdom and glad he's with Rue, but wishes he could still see Ahiru and Fakir and see his old home, too.

(I actually like the idea of Fakir still being a ballet student, so the line doesn't really bother me much. ^^;)
You know...come to think of it, Fakir still being a ballet student means that he could probably be the male student that appears at the end of the ED theme of the anime. :O "And besides......whenever I look up, Fakir is always there." <--!!!

*spaz!!* Oh man! I didn't even THINK about the line that way, but they probably ARE referencing it!! YAY!! <3<3<3<3
Plus, I think Fakir can be both a writer AND a dancer, you know? I don't think he should give up one love for the other, anymore than Autor should give up his piano-playing for his Drosselmeyer studies. (Although Duck's right--shouldn't he be studying it a LITTLE more?? It really makes me wonder about his grades...)

True, true. Well...he's already gotten a book published, so he's got a bright future in both fields. XD

I think the little details provided in this story is going to inject quite a bit of excitement (actually that's kind of already happening, isn't it? ^^;;) and new ideas into fan made stories and art works. Heck, I already have an idea on how to use the "rape blossom blooming together once every 50 years on a full moon" tid-bit in my fanfic. XD;;
