Kyoto was an awesome week spent traveling all over the place and let me tell you, bullet trains are amazing. They are fast, convenient, and free when you have a shiny JR Rail pass. Unfortunately we were not able to go to the one place I wanted to; Ritsurin Coen, the park I went to my first year in Japan. We ran out of time and couldn't make it to Shikoku, but everything else was so much fun and besides, I'm probably coming back next year. We did make it to Nara, some pics are on facebook, more will be added later. Nara is filled with deer who love to eat crackers, chase you, and tit-stomp you in my case. Also, bite your ass and thighs and try to eat your clothes. Friggin awesome deer, but damn. After Kyoto we went back to Tokyo for our final week. It was a nice week spent playing video games, eating at our fav places including Pepper Lunch, and relaxing. We re-visited Akiba, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and my 2nd fav place in Japan; Meiji-jingu, so I was happy. I was not happy when the 19th rolled around and it was time to leave, but more fun was waiting to be had in Taiwan. So Steph and I said goodbye to Eric and Jess and the country of Japan and left for the airport. We almost missed the flight (arrived 40 min before boarding) but we made it and landed in Taiwan. My first impression: "Holy Jesus, its hot as balls here". Yea, its tropical so while the fruit is amazing, the temperature is not. Steph's Aunt picked us up are the airport, and took us back to their apartment where I met the cousins and Billy, the golden retriever who is shaved like trouble; shaved except for the head and a poof at the end of the tail. Pics will be on facebook eventually.
So I've been in Taiwan since the 19th and so far I've realized; the food is amazing, her Aunt is soooo nice, her cousin is adorable, Billy is lol, and did I mention the food is amazing? Speaking of food, her aunt just bought some dumplings so I better go. More later! Also, Nancy is here and I am happy cause I missed her bunches!
