Well yesterday I spent the whole day in the ER and then up in L&D(labor&delivery). As some of you may know my grandfather passed away Sunday night and I have been taking it really hard especially since I am unable to be there with my family. Well Monday I started having what I believe were panic attacks (chest beating really fast and shortness of breath). I had them most of the day& night Monday and when I woke up yesterday morning I was still having them. Just to be safe I decided to call the dr office to let them know and to see if there was something they might be able to do (I had them a few years ago and at that time my dr gave me some drugs to help but I didnt think that was possible now since I am preggo). To my surprise the dr told me to go to the ER and get checked out. So off to the ER we (Marina was so nice to join me since Matt was in school) went. We got there at 9am and set in the waiting room until around 12pm waiting for a room to open up. Once in the room we waited another hour or so to see a dr who just listened to my heart which she said looked fine. My heart rate was a little high but she wasnt too worried about it. They had said something about an EKG and that worried me a bit but luckly they didnt have to do one. Then the dr said that it looked like the baby was on my lungs which could have been causing the shortness of breath. She said that she wanted me to go up to L&D to be monitored to make sure that the baby was ok since I also was having some cramping and pressure. So off to the L&D we went. I spend over an hour and a half up there being monitored and they checked to make sure I wasnt dilating yet (which I am not). Then they came in and said that everything looked ok and that I could go home but to take it easy and to make sure I called the dr again if I was having anymore pain or if I was having any of the other labor symptoms. So that was my exciting day. I really dont want to have to do that again anytime soon.
