Phone call on his birthday!
Ok so I got another phone call from Matthew on Tuesday, which was his birthday! It was so great to be able to wish him a happy birthday on the phone rather than just in the letters I have been writting. He seems to be doing ok. He said that the day after our last phone call he had to go to ship's sick call and it turns out he had a upper respitory infection! He was given sick in quarters all day that Friday and then on light limited duty Saturday and Sunday. He says that he is doing better now and that he doesn't have a fever anymore but still feels like crap. The poor thing. (I also got a letter today from him saying about the same things but a little more detailed)
Also he found out that all his schooling will be in Goosecreek, SC and his school starts that Monday after his graduation. He doesnt think that he will be able to have time off to move me there with him until Christmas break (whenever that may be) which is a bummer. I am hoping that they give him the time to move me sooner than later but as it stands now I will be giving my work notice next month and telling them that my last day of work is scheduled to be December 15th but if Matt is able to move me sooner I will be leaving before then. I figure if I give them over a months notice and something comes up where I do get to move before the 15th then they will have already been warned that I was leaving. Sounds good right??
I have been BUSY this week packing up my apartment and cleaning it out. Our lease is up on the 31st and I am moving in with my grandma this weekend. With my grandma and moms help things seem to be getting done but it still feels like it is never ending. I want to make sure this place is as clean as possible so that we can get out deposit back. Man I hate moving and I have a life time of it ahead of me!
