i think i'm becoming a feminist... look out now!

i've been reading an article about how societal 'scripts' have produced the misconceived notion that 'date rape' isn't rape. because women are meant to be nice and pure-- never sexually forward, and men are meant to be the one more interested in sexual pleasure men have been given the role of 'predator' and women 'prey'. giving way to the saying 'it's all about the chase/hunt/insert-discovery-channel-adjective-here.' apparently, men are able to dismiss a woman's refusal to have sex, because women always say no at first, but they all 'come around'. Isn't that something to ponder? I've found myself playing coquette and allowing my partner to 'persuade' me into doing something i already want to do. have i in some way contributed to this horrible idea that women will always 'come around' given enough convincing, threatening, coercion?

have you?

think about it and get back to me.
