R.I.P Old Friend, We had a lot of great times

For those of you who know me well enough to have had my charismatic animals touch your life one time or another, I have some very saddening news. Flavor Flave aka the black bastard is no longer with us. After noticing a drastic weight loss, we started monitoring him. Well last night, we noticed his jaw was extremely swollen. Judy suggested it may be a bad tooth.

This morning while I was getting read for work, my mom told me that she was taking the morning off to take him to the vet. Well right before lunch, my mom called, and said it wasn't good. He had cancer of the jaw. The pressure from the tumor was so bad it broke his jaw. He lost most of his teeth on that side, and one of his teeth were embedded in the tumor. I was so tore up about it, Judy let me go home early. When I got home, he had drool hanging from his lip. He wasn't crying though and he seemed alright to me. The thought of putting him to sleep didn't seem logical or fair. Well once we got to the vet, I had a change of heart. I saw the x-rays, and his jaw bone was disintegrating.
When it was time, he just cuddled up to me and laid down. Even though his jaw was twice the size it should be, and his mouth hurt him so much, it didn't stop him from rubbing both sides of his mouth on me and drooling all over my arm, bless his little soul. Then the doctor came in, and it was time. They put the needle in the catheter, and he just kinda laid down, and then went to sleep. That was at about 6:30pm and I am still crying now, as I sit here and type this. He was my baby kitty. I had him 14 years, more then half of my life. I am going to miss him so much, but he brought me so many good times, and atleast he's not in pain and suffering anymore.
