Mil?

"I bet every Pureblood family has it's secrets, Mumsy," Pansy drawled, haughtily flipping her hair over her shoulder. "This isn't something to worry about... Stress isn't good for your skin." She began to twist her rings around her fingers, a nervous habit she had developed over the years.

Her mother wrinkled her pug-nose, glaring down at her haughty daughter, failing to notice that Pansy was the spitting image of her. Lilian Parkinson had other matters always occupying her mind, and it didn't help that her daughter was belittling her whining.

"Pansy," she snapped, "Shut up when Mummy is talking." She returned her focus to her husband, who had been standing with an angry look upon his face, leaning against the door frame. "Nicky, darling, you know I'm right. We ought to hide it all... The Great Lord is coming." Pansy could detect a shiver in her mother, which was the only thing that made her refrain from a nasty retort.

Nicolas Parkinson, who usually enjoyed his wife's nicknames, was beyond pissed. "There's no way to evade his wrath now. None. Soon we'll get what's coming to us." He could see the terror in his wife and child's eyes, and though he got no pleasure out of it his demeanor did not change. "I'll talk to Lucius in the morning."

His word was final, and it allowed both ladies to take a breath (which they each hadn't realized they'd been holding).

Pansy quietly excused herself and returned to her room, quickly messaging Mil.

You there? xx
