Jack and the Giant Weed Stalk
Once upon a time in a ghetto far, far away there was a young man named Jack. Jack was a twenty-year-old man with brown hair and ripped blue jeans and a torn white shirt. Jack lived in a small one-bedroom shack with broken windows and holes all over the walls and the roof. Nothing right ever went Jack’s way; he is in a twenty-year stint of bad luck. Jack was in a desperate need for a break and a change in his lifestyle. He need something that would lift him from the slums of ghetto.
The following morning would change Jack’s life forever. A crazy old drug dealer was wondered down Jack’s street yelling, “this magical seed can change your life forever.” Jack had to see what this crazy old drug dealer was selling. All the drug dealer would say tell Jack is that the seed would change his life forever. Jack thought to himself and came to the conclusion that he need a break and would buy the magical seed. Jack scrambled together all his food stamps and all his loose change under his dirty dusty couch. Jack had come up with thirty dollars in food stamps and two dollars in loose change. The crazy old drug dealer accepted the offer and handed over the magical seed to Jack. Jack took the seed and watched the crazy old drug dealer walk away shouting “in time your life will change forever.”
The next day Jack went to his small cramped backyard to plant the magical seed. Everyday Jack would wake up and run out to the back yard to look to see if the seed had grown. After Jack took a look at the where the seed was, he would get a cup of water and pour it on the seed. For one month jack would do the same thing over and over again, but nothing ever happened. One night Jack prayed towards the sky wishing that his seed would grow. Jack went to sleep wishing that his magical seed would grow. Jack went to sleep at ten pm, but he didn’t know his life would change when he woke up the following morning.
When jack opened his eyes the next morning he knew something was different. Jack ran outside and was shocked at what he saw. The magical seed was actually a marijuana (aka weed) seed. The seed had grown into a plant that was so tall that it disappeared into the sky. The plant was ten feet wide and had weed clumps the size of basketballs. Jack thought to himself and was wondering how the plant could change his life forever. Jack’s first thought was to pick the weed clumps he could reach and sell them to people. The only problem was that Jack couldn’t pull the clumps off the weed stalk. No matter what Jack tried to do, the clumps would not move. The reason the clumps wouldn’t budge is because the clumps had a curse on them. The clumps would not come off unless the tree was cut down. The only exception was that there was a baseball size clump at the very top that wasn’t cursed. Jack had no idea what he was getting himself into with his giant weed stalk.
The following morning Jack went out to his backyard to check on his weed stalk. He noticed the clumps had flattened out to make stairs up the weed stalk towards the sky. Jack didn’t even think and started walking up the stairs. The further he went up the stairs the smaller and smaller the steps got. Jack walked for one hour before he reached the top of the weed stalk. Once he reached the top he saw the baseball sized weed clump and
