[TEXT]
I have heard about medical classes starting up once classes resume. Who is teaching it and have sign-ups begun yet? Is there an age limit? I'm sorry if I missed the post...
Rena, are you settling into the apartment alright? Hanyuu and I dusted it before you came here. Now it's all sparkle-sparkle, shine-shine! Kind of. Ni-paa~☆!
[END TEXT]
[The screen flickers on, switching to video to show bright purple eyes staring down at the device. Rika places the communicator beside her, at a slight angle. You can catch a glimpse of the sky and the exterior of an apartment building behind where the nine-year-old girl is sitting. The handle of a broom can be seen sitting next to her. She must have thought she had switched it off by the end of the text message.
Holding a long ribbon in her mouth, she pulls her long blue hair back into a ponytail with both hands and ties it. Once that's finished, she picks up the broom, stands, and runs forward. Standing a few feet away is another young girl with wavy lavender hair (and what appear to be horns on her head?), a little older than Rika. It's Hanyuu, with her own broom.
The two girls stand apart from each other, facing forward, and hold their respective brooms with both hands.]
Ready, Hanyuu? We'll start from the top.
Au~!
[The two walk forward at the same time, stop, bow their heads. They wave the brooms out to one side, bring it back close to their chests, then take another bow. Lowering the broom to one side, they raise their free hand and walk a few steps towards their left. Stop. Then wave the broom in a circular motion.
...it looks like they are performing a kind of ritual or festival dance? The dance most likely did not involve dancing with a broom, but it appears to be their only substitute for whatever the original object should be.
Both girls continue to move perfectly in unison. Until Rika makes the wrong move by turning the wrong direction.
WHACK! A smack over the head from a broom to Hanyuu.]
Auuuuu! Auauauauau!
Miiiiii?! Hanyuu! Are you alright?!
Au, au au auuuu au...
The Cotton Drifting dance isn't really meant for a group of people... but... geez... I've been doing this for over a hundred years and I still don't-- I-I think we've practiced enough today. It's getting late.
Au...
[The recording ends.]
[ooc: Magenta is Hanyuu obviously. Performing part of the Cotton Drifting/Watanagashi Festival (which is held on June 19th orz) Dance from the Higurashi Live-Action movie. Because you don't see much of it in the anime. >: And Rena-mun, I hope it's safe to assume Rena moved into their apartment already? :D]
